MF 205 Restoration

MF205

I bought this tractor in 2015 with my brother with the intention of restoring it. We started work on it in 2016 and have most of the mechnical work done, it has been on pause for a while be hopefully work will be resumed soon.

A friend of mine fabricated a new quick hitch for the loader to match my Trima implements, and we had 2 new hydraulic cylinders made by a local firm.

We replaced the disk brakes including actuators. Old ones were worn out and seized solid, they had obvioulsly not worked in many years.

As this is an industrial Massey it has seperate independant brakes for the hand brakes, so we replaced these drum brakes also.

We completely rebuilt the steering box.

And replced power steering adjuster and steering spindle.

We split the tractor to sort some oil leaks and tourque converter issues.

Replaced oil pump.

And drive memeber for torque converter, which you can see above is quite badly worn.

We also did engine rope seals while tractor was split.

Chassis Primed

And Painted
