This is our DIY polytunnel made from old polypipe and scaffolding tubes that were lying around the yard. The Polytunnel is 32ft x 12ft.

A timber frame was built inside and bolted to scafold posts and screwd to Poly Pipe for rigidity.

We then stretched 1000 gauge plastic over the whole frame, we used anti-hotspot tape between the frame and the plastic to protect frome heat and a possible reaction between the 2 plastic types. The plastic is not as drum tight as a commercial tunnel mostly due to some flexibility in the Plastic pipe.

Inside we are fitting out Half of the tunnel with shelves for nursery plants and a potting area and the other half will be beds.
